About this Course
We are in the midst of an explosion of musical creativity as a result of technologies that allow you to record music using your laptop or tablet. Whether you are a singer, music producer, audio engineer, or just someone that likes to make good music with vocals, it is essential to have an understanding of vocal technologies for music production.
Vocal Recording Technology provides students with insight into the voice itself, the recording environment, microphones, equalization, compressors, A-D-A conversion, the listening environment, human perception, natural widening concepts, artificial widening concepts, reverb, delay, and more.
Grammy-award winning record producer, audio engineer, recording artist, and educator Prince Charles Alexander offers students a first-hand opportunity to learn the technologies behind vocal production, so that you can enhance your music productions with the most compelling and effective vocal tracks. .

Thanks in advance eDX and Prince Charles !! excited to be a part of it.
I've just enrolled on this course but it doesn't start until January. I was disappointed to discover that there's no way to view the detailed syllabus before the course starts. That's just weird. I'm jumping into this course almost blind, only having a rough outline of what it entails. How about getting the syllabus on the course web page.
does this course cover Pro Tools?
Goosebumps of Excitement
Subscribed to the "free" track, cannot wait for the course to continue 😉
I'm very excited for this. I hope some day edX will also offer a music theory fundamentals course. Regardless, thanks a bunch!
