From Waiting Tables to Digital Marketing Job in the UK digital marketing jobs in uk

by alsaCEMusic

– This week I interviewed Andrew, who was waiting tables as a University student, and after taking my course got a paid Digital Marketing internship!

What’s unique about the interview? #1 Andrew lives in the UK. I’ve been getting a lot of questions from people across the pond wondering if the course works over there, and the answer is yes. In fact I have several new testimonials from students who were recently hired there in addition to Andrew I will share soon, and I’ll do a UK Jobs walkthrough.

#2 – Andrew beat out 300 other applicants for this position! And he did it by taking action on all the instructions in my course, generating his experience, and impressing the heck out of his bosses at the agency. He’s basically getting paid to learn – complete with benefits and those wonderful European 4 weeks of holiday we don’t get in the US.

I didn’t edit the interview too much because I enjoyed the candid banter in the conversation. Andrew’s got a great attitude and desire to learn – he’s already learned more about Automation and AI than many senior marketers. Just goes to show that if you get the skills and completely nerd out on them like I teach, opportunities will present themselves!

(And yes, it also works overseas!)

One of the things that worries me about PPC jobs is that you're put in charge of handling big accounts. I've heard horror stories of people fucking up, overspending on something. I can imagine it's easy to do something like that since it's not your money, its numbers on a screen and you're under pressure.

I really want to get into digital marketing as I'm a recent graduate that's unemployed. I've applied for an internship in digital marketing already in which i was accepted in but I would like to try the course as well. Where can i get the course.

24 days floating vacation plus 8 days Bank Holiday per year are standard in the UK.
The historically very weak pound also contributes to UK pay seeming underwhelming when compared to the States.
300 is an unusually high number of applicants for an entry level DM job in the UK. There are plenty of vacancies on LinkedIn with 0 to 5 applicants.
I think Andrew is ready to move on to his next job. And he should target a minimum of £30k for this.
If his current employers don't give him a significant pay rise in the next 2 months, they are taking advantage of him and not paying him his current worth.

Hello, I’m considering going into social media management. Is there a lot of verbal communication in this career?

It's great that you have more stories from outside the US , because it shows a certain level of universalism of the trends in this field .

Hey Seth, I took your course over a year ago and have been in a job for almost one year now, I was wondering if it would be possible to consult you 1 on 1 for some career advice?

seth, andrew said he researched the company in advance and used that info to make himself stand out in the interview. i was wondering, was that his own initiative or was it something he learned from your course?
